Day 4

It's day 4 of this monumental experiment! Here's what the Happy Meal looks like:

I can't say much has changed at all in the last 24 hours. The smell is really difficult to smell now, but that's just about it. I think the meat patty could cut through glass, but since I haven't tried that yet, I can't be 100% sure.

What boggles the mind is that when I compare this picture to day 1, there isn't that much of a difference. You'd think that SOMETHING would be different after 4 days of sitting out on a kitchen counter, but alas... nada.

Makes me want to try this on the regular meals I have.

  1. Shouldn't it smell?
Maybe you should try it on one of your other meals? Compare and contrast.

  2. I'm really thinking of doing just that... taking another home cooked meal and seeing what happens.

And when I say "home cooked," I don't mean cracking open a can of soup!!!!!

I do know that bread tends to get hard. French bread will harden in a matter of days.

But the meat? Shouldn't it grow some sort of fungus/mold/bacteria???

    Interesting, to say the least.

  3. And who said you meant cracking open a can of soup? Lol..............ya came off a little defensive there my dear mad scientist :).
Shouldn't it be the homemade equal? A burger?

I am almost certain that the meat does have some kind of bacteria/fungal thing going on now. For the love of U2, don't eat it! Unless you like bonding with the toilet.

  4. True, if I do use another item of food to compare this to, it should be another hamburger... made from meat I get from the supermarket. But then I'm just throwing away food!!!!
